Time For Peace

Welcome to the 2023 Spring programme for Belfast International Arts Festival.

Belfast International Arts Festival sits at the often challenging intersection between art, culture, conflict and peace, constantly addressing the question of which – not just how – artistic involvement and cultural activities contribute positively to peace and reconciliation processes. As such, we felt it was important to make a modest contribution to the many events in April marking the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday/Belfast Agreement. We are now delighted to offer you a specially curated programme, presented in partnership with The Department of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Ireland and the British Council comprising the following events:

History of the Present – Maria Fusco (NI/Scotland) 19 April

EllipsesAn Anthem to End WarsMaria McManus, Keith Acheson (NI) 20 April

An opportunity to listen, reflect and gather has never been more important and we hope that you will join us in the presence of many wonderful artists to do just that.
