A brother and sister’s rite-of-passage road  trip across the parched Mexican landscape.

When teenagers Omar and Karina’s mother suffers a stroke, they set off across Mexico to visit their grandmother. Their journey exposes them to people and situations they are illequipped to deal with, and tensions run high as they contend with a complex, unforgiving adult world. Social divisions, unrest and violence are evidenced in the world around them in a multilayered, naturalistic tale of the bonds of family and the intricacies of Mexican society.
