Blue Plaque – Walking Tour
Northern Ireland Tourist Guide Association
Discover the variety and richness of Belfast’s past citizens and places on this Blue Plaque tour.
Ulster History Circle’s blue plaques mark and commemorate important people and places and there are many of these in Belfast city centre.
The tour will start at Belfast city hall; then to Linenhall Library, College Square East and North,Donegall Place, High Street and the Cathedral Quarter.
The tour will include the lives of people important in science, medicine, the arts and education. It will embrace the very well-known such as Henry Joy McCracken and Harry Ferguson and the less well known such as Luke Macassey. There will be opportunities to interact and ask questions at all stops.
We’ve partnered with the Northern Ireland Tourist Guide Association to offer insightful cultural walking tours during the Festival. Led by experienced guides, these tours provide a fresh perspective on Belfast’s history and heritage. Whether you’re familiar with the city or exploring it for the first time, they offer a thoughtful way to engage with its stories and streets.
