Camerata Ireland, directed by Barry Douglas, celebrates its 25th anniversary with a vibrant one-hour programme.

Join us for a stunning evening of music with Camerata Ireland, under the direction of world-renowned pianist and founder Barry Douglas with a rich and varied programme of classical and contemporary works.

The concert opens with Mozart’s Piano Concerto in A major, K. 414, a graceful and lyrical work performed by Barry Douglas himself at the keyboard.

At the heart of the programme is the world premiere of Environments IV, a striking new piece by Belfast-based composer Greg Caffrey, specially commissioned with funding from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland to mark Camerata Ireland’s 25th Anniversary in 2024. This evocative and textural work features acclaimed flautist Aisling Agnew as soloist and reflects Camerata Ireland’s ongoing commitment to championing exceptional music from across the island.

The programme concludes with Mozart’s vibrant and inventive Piano Concerto in E-flat major, K. 449, showcasing Douglas’s brilliance as both soloist and musical leader.

This is a rare opportunity to hear one of Ireland’s leading chamber orchestras in an intimate setting, performing music that spans centuries and celebrates homegrown talent at the highest level.
