Ciaran Lavery – Light Entertainment

Ciaran Lavery invites you to enter the world of “Light” Entertainment for an immersive live music experience.

In this unique theatrical experiment, Lavery grapples with the pressures of creating an album in spite of imposter syndrome, the world around him crumbling, and the aggressively loud allure of digital distraction right at his fingertips.

Lavery will attempt to build a show around the audience in real time as he scrambles to figure out how exactly to present Light Entertainment. He’ll be joined onstage for this strange fever dream by collaborators Joshua Burnside and Ryan McMullan.

Using triggers, stage props, and of course the ultimate distraction the TV, the fourth wall is smashed through as he invites the live audience into his innermost worries about the show, weighing these up against larger worldly issues and the agonising internalising of the over-thinker.

This is a live show where music, theatre and satire combine for what can only be described as Light Entertainment.
