Colin Davidson – The Chancellor’s 175th Address

In celebration of the 175th anniversary of the founding of the Belfast School of Art, Ulster University Chancellor and Belfast School of Art alumnus Dr Colin Davidson shares insights into his illustrious career.

Known for his large-scale portraits, Davidson reflects on his journey from student to acclaimed artist, drawing on his early days at the Belfast School of Art. Davidson, whose portraits include iconic figures like Brad Pitt and Angela Merkel, will explore the institution’s role in shaping his artistic vision, as well as the influence of Belfast’s vibrant culture on his work.

Tickets for this free event will be released in mid September.
