BRIAN FRIEL’S FAITH HEALER RETURNS TO BELFAST THIS OCTOBER IN A MAJOR PRODUCTION STARRING CONLETH HILL.

Hailed by The Guardian as one of the greatest plays of the twentieth century. Faith Healer has captivated audiences worldwide since its premiere in 1979.

Travelling through the remote villages of Scotland and Wales, Frank Hardy is promising miracle cures to those afflicted with sickness and pain. Part showman, part shaman, his gift is astonishing and dangerously unreliable. As Frank, his wife Grace and manager Teddy recount their life on the road, their stories reveal competing versions of the same events in this poetic exploration of a charismatic conman and the consequences of his creative story telling.

We are delighted to announce that, as part of the Lyric’s 75th year, Brian Friel’s Faith Healer returns to Belfast this October in a major production by the Lyric Theatre, starring Conleth Hill.
