The Sea Holly Gallery presents an exhibition of new paintings depicting the characters who populate the Cathedral Quarter.

Ciaran Gallagher has long turned his attention to the people of Belfast, capturing the city’s character through portraiture. His latest exhibition shifts focus to the Cathedral Quarter—an area layered with history and culture, once known as ‘The Half Bap’.

Once the industrial heart of Belfast, its cobbled streets now tell a different story, shaped by those who live and work there today.

In these new works, Ciaran continues to document a city in flux, highlighting the individuals who give this evolving district its edge.
