Rory Friers
Over six months, composer Rory Friers recorded conversations, songs and everyday moments with residents and staff at Glendun care home in Cushendun. This scrapbook of voices, memories and shared experiences is woven into an original score for string quartet, piano and guitar.
Created with filmmaker Ross McClean, the accompanying film is projection- mapped onto a suspended scale model of the care home, allowing the building to shift between physical place, remembered space and living image. Together, sound, music and film offers a question; where is home and when are we there?
