How to get ahead in the Music Business

Ulster born music business veteran Paul Charles, in his career – recently celebrated in his Adventures in Wonderland memoir – has at times been a roadie, a sound engineer, an agent, a promoter, a manager, a lyricist, a music columnist/journalist, and an author – will be undertaking a workshop for musicians and those interested in working in the business side of the music business.

Topics under discussion: the team young musicians need to put together to get started, how to get into the music business, and…what to do when you get there. Also there will be several tales of woe and glory of those who have trod the path before you.

The event is produced by Belfast International Arts Festival as part of its Embrace programme and is in association with Belfast UNESCO City of Music and Oh Yeah Music Centre.
