John Hewitt Birthday Readings 2025

To mark the birth date of celebrated Belfast poet John Hewitt, The John Hewitt Society presents an evening of poetry in the pub named after him.

Belfast-born poet, translator, and visual artist Eilish Martin has published three collections of poetry including 2024’s ! All’arme / ? And what… if not (Macha Press).

Dean Browne received the Geoffrey Dearmer Prize in 2021 and his pamphlet, Kitchens at Night (2022) was a winner of the Poetry Business International Pamphlet Competition. His first collection, After Party was published this year.
