Quercus Ensemble

Following their hugely popular appearance at last year’s Mini-Fest, local ensemble Quercus and their artistic director Kim Vaughan bring a piano trio format to the Great Hall this year. The programme is inspired by Czech and Hungarian folk music, with Dvorak’s Dumky Trio as the centrepiece.  Also featuring music by Kodaly, Martinu and Suk.

The Northern Lights Mini-Fest is presented in partnership with Belfast Music Society in an annual showcase of outstanding young classical musicians from Northern Ireland.
