The Big Wee Ireland Tour

Verbal fireworks and lyrical shenanigans from Northern Ireland and Scotland. 

Renowned Scottish poets Magi Gibson and Hugh McMillan join a host of homegrown poets. Shankill Road-born Neil Young marks his homecoming with the launch of Shrapnel. Also joining the evening is the revered Joan Newmann, one of the original members of Philip Hobsbaum’s ‘Belfast Group’ of poets, and the dynamic voices of Seanín Hughes and Abby Olivera.  

This is a grassroots ‘Blue to Green/Green to Blue’ alliance to promote exchange visits, readings and publications by poets from both sides of the Irish Sea, and to build on the shared cultural, social, linguistic and historical roots and influences.
