Due to the forecast of heavy rain and strong winds in Belfast, and with safety as the top priority, Féile an Phobail has taken the decision, in consultation with Belfast City Council, to reschedule their Halloween Parade and Fireworks Display from Thursday 30 October to Wednesday 29 October.

As a result, it’s unfortunately not possible for Future Parade to go ahead as planned tomorrow.  While we share everyone’s disappointment, we’re also immensely proud of the creativity, energy, and commitment shown by all the young people and community groups involved in this incredible project, led by Macnas in partnership with Féile, EastSide Arts, and BIAF.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll explore opportunities to reunite our young participants and celebrate the remarkable journey they’ve been on together.  We hope too that there will be an opportunity to bring Future Parade to life on another occasion.

For now, we send our thanks to everyone who’s been part of Future Parade. Special thanks to the young people and leaders from New Hill Community Group and Ledley Hall and of course to our funders Creative Ireland.

We wish the Féile team a safe and spectacular parade tonight.
