BIAF wins Most Inclusive Experience Award
Belfast International Arts Festival has been recognised for our commitment to accessibility and inclusion at Belfast City’s inaugural Inclusive Tourism Awards. The Festival was awarded Most Inclusive Experience.
The awards were unveiled at Titanic Belfast, where the city’s tourism sector gathered to discuss the importance of inclusive experiences and the impact of the ‘purple pound’—the spending power of disabled visitors and their families, which contributes an estimated £249 billion annually to the UK economy.
The awards form part of the Embrace the Inclusive Spirit programme, developed by Belfast City Council, Tourism Northern Ireland and Visit Belfast, to support tourism and hospitality providers and enable them to explore new markets. Other winners included the Grand Opera House, The Black Box and 2 Royal Avenue.
This recognition inspires us to continue improving accessibility across all aspects of our programming. We extend our thanks to The Inclusive Tourism Awards for this honour and to our audiences, artists, and partners who support our mission.
