The first of two major showcase events of new and innovative poetry commissions of poets of the North of Ireland.

Writing in Irish & English, poet and musician Gearóid Mac Lochlainn presents an exploration of Loch Lao, the old Irish for Belfast Lough.

Award winning poet Stephen Sexton explores the bind between Belfast and Harry Blondin’s historic, daring and extraordinary crossing of Niagara Falls.

Manuela Moser presents her new sequence with characters Clementine & Harriet, ‘I am very much able to love.’

Gníomhartha Coimisiúnaithe 1 – Seanrópa, Seanloch, Seanghrá.

An chéad mórimeacht filíochta as beirt san fhéile, é bunaithe ar shaothar nua-scríofa, nuálach coimisiúnaithe le filí an tuaiscirt.

Ag scríobh go dátheangach, tugann file agus ceoltóir Gearóid Mac Lochlainn léiriú suntasach dúinn ar Loch Lao.

Déanann file Stephen Sexton mionchíoradh ar an nasc idir Béal Feirste agus an trasnú éachtach a rinne Harry Blondin thar Easanna Niagara.

Cuireann Manuela Moser a sraith nua i láthair le carachtair Clementine agus Harriet, ag plé cúrsaí grá.

Quotidian – Word on the Street is grateful to have the support of Poetry Ireland, the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Centre Culturel Irlandais, Paris in the commissioning and production of Acts of Commission.

Part of IN-visible ID-entities 3, an on-going BIAF initiative encouraging cultural collaboration across the island and supported by the Government of Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs.
