Festival favourite, Oona Doherty and regular collaborator and filmmaker, Luca Truffarelli discuss their friendship and working relationship. Interspersed with filmed extracts of their recent collaborations, they reflect on the intersections between contemporary dance and film.

Oona Doherty is a past Festival Artist in Residence whose works for Belfast International Arts Festival includes Hard to Be Soft (2017), Death of the Hunter (2018) and Lady Magma (2019).

Luca Truffarelli is a Dublin based photographer and video maker specialising in dance, theatre and food photography. In addition to his collaborations with Oona Doherty, he has worked with a number of dance and theatre companies across Ireland including Junk Ensemble, Liz Roche Company, Dylan Quinn Dance Theatre, Ballet Ireland and Philip Connaughton.

Recorded during the current lockdown, this informal and relaxed discussion is a must for both dance aficionados and those new to the artform.
