Revisit: Celui Qui Tombe by Yoann Bourgeois, 2017

In 2017, BIAF welcomed Yoann Bourgeois’ Celui Qui Tombe (He Who Falls), the thrilling, gravity-defying circus and physical theatre show, to the Grand Opera House.

Yoann Bourgeois has long been fascinated by ideas of weightlessness and the physics of suspension. As the curtain opens, your eyes are drawn to the unique pivoting square platform. As the podium spins and tilts, the cast of six performers work together to find an equilibrium.

As it is officially Summer, we hope you enjoy the upbeat Pardon les Sentiments video below, starring the pivoting platform, Marie Vaudin and Jean-Yves Phuong, who both performed in Belfast in 2017 and Vincent Delerm, Clotilde Hesme, and Voyou.
